Abilis CPX 2000, update 7.2.8

Released on December 9, 2011.

Enhancements

POEAC
  • Extended number of lines for DEBUG LSN:10 and LSN:11: now they are increased up to 750 lines.

POECLI
  • Extended number of lines for DEBUG LSN:10 and LSN:11: now they are increased up to 750 lines.

PPP
  • Extended number of lines for DEBUG LSN:10 and LSN:11: now they are increased up to 750 lines.

Bug fixes

Snmp
  • Added traps and alarms for POTS and CITO ports in CTI system.

Alarm
  • Improved mails sent for CtiSys alarms: added missing CTI port number and description.

SIP
  • Added support to T.38 payload length higher than 127 bytes.

This bug was triggered when the T38 peers concatenated many T38 packets, an uncommon situation.

  • Fixed T.38 redundancy packets handling.

In case of packet loss more packets than really necessary were discarded thus increasing the probability of an aborted fax.

Traffic analyser
  • Removed DEBUG/LOG message that occurred at start-up if history archive was not present. This situation must not be considered as an error.

Voice Mail
  • Fixed the length field of RIFF chunk in WAV file header.

The WAV writer did not fill the filed properly. Most players did not complain, but others, like Windows XP sound recorder and Abilis itself, did.

  • The default messages have been replaced.

QPRIX/PB44X
  • Fixed handling of more than 32 G.711 channels when using D64V firmware.

  • Reverted to D64A.BIN v.32.10 because the 33.1 shown unexpected instabilities.

  • Updated QPRIX.BIN from version 26 to version 28. It fixes a problem with clock recovered from PRI ports present on certain samples of QPRIX.

This problem caused instability in the system clock with negative effects on faxes , anomalous presence of SLIPS, and in some extreme situation a system instability.

UMTS/GSM DATA connection
  • Added handling of T301 protection timeout.

The value is taken from the routing used to make the data call, default 180 seconds.

Traffic analyser
  • Added protection against corrupted data files.

An infinite loop was possible in case of TRFA data files corruption. Now each block is carefully checked and in case of invalid data the block is skipped and an event is written in the system log.

The infinite loop caused a WDLIVE1 reboot.

Abilis CPX 2000, update 7.2.4

Released on October 16, 2011.

Enhancements

CTIR, POTS, ISDN, SIP, IAX, CLUS
  • Improved the handling of the loop protections subsequent to a call forwarding.

Each call made due a call forwarding gets an internal UUID assigned, and if the call returns back to a port/user that already forwarded the same call the call is rejected.

This mechanism has been modified a little bit to provide higher flexibility while keeping the protection from loop:

    • The call can be forwarded back to a port/user that already forwarded it, it can be accepted but it cannot be further forwarded.

    • The UUID is maintained only if the call is really forwarded. This permits DISA ACD to repeat the same call, which was not possible before.

System
  • Reduced the diagtask CPU occupation which became sensibly high with hundreds of POTS ports and in some cases it could cause problems to CLIP generation.

Hardware
  • Added support for the new PicoAbilis models. The mfpcmcia watchdog is used in PicoAbilis as mfide device ( see D D MFIDE ).

Bug fixes

POTS/ISDN/SIP/IAX/CLUS
  • Unified the handling of RG field, which is now present in all forwarded calls but only if FORWARDING-CALLING:*.

Previously there was some inconsistency among the drivers.

POTS
  • Changed CLIP-LEVEL: range from 1..1500 to 1..3200 mV peak to peak, in CTISYS and CTI ports.

TRFA
  • Fixed some graphic bugs when displaying graphs with filter range: in case of small range, some information were wrong/missing.

  • Added different display for K/M/G/TBytes for graph mode: now K/M/G/T or Ki/Mi/Gi/Ti are shown depending on Units/Multiplier selector.

SIP

  • Added support to Asterisk 1.8.x registration that changes tag in the "From" header field.

VoIP

  • Fixed problem with CLIP generation, depending on timing variables the first ring period was not always correct, causing the missing CLIP display on the telephone.

CTI audio compressor

  • The counting of VOICE-UND in D S CTIAC and UND in D CTICE is now more precise.

Previously the underruns in some specific situations were not counted.

Operator Panel Control

  • Fixed bug introduced in version 7.2.0: when putting number into CTISYS command: previously '#' suffix was always removed causing a delayed call in cause of EN-BLOC.

Alarm

  • Fixed cti port number displayed in alarm debug command.

  • Fixed traps/mail requests generation for IP resources. Request hold wrong info, then the corresponding event was not generated.

Snmp

  • Fixed traps/mail requests generation for IP resources. Request hold wrong info, then the corresponding event was not generated.

  • Extended reange of 'cxSysGenHwInt' variable by adding also 'mfpcmcia'.

  • Added support of statistics for every type of MFIDE device.

  • Updated MIB and html document.

Abilis CPX 2000, update 7.2.3

Released on September 21, 2011.

Enhancements

None

Bug fixes

CTIR

  • Fixed handling of T301 when destination activates call forward on no-answer.

Previously the timeout specified in call forwarding on no-answer had precedence over T301, but it was wrong.

The smaller of the two is used now, and in case they are equal the precedence is for T301 from routing.

  • Added protection to disable a call transfer resulting in DtoD when:

    • the parent calls are XtoD (any-to-D)

    • The child call result of the call transfer is made with the two outgoing sides of the parent calls.

This protection is to avoid the interconnection of two "input sides" of DISA because it may lead to a neverending call.

  • Fixed a bug with call switch command issued from OPC.

For Cluster, Sip and Iax the procedure did not work.

POTS
  • Fixed a bug introduced with 7.2.0 with the introduction of headset mode.

A call parked with the R button (flash) was removed from the hold state once the second call ended it's disconnecting phase, which typically occurs 45 seconds after pressing "R", assuming that a second call is not made.

  • Fixed handling of CLIP:YES.

With CLIP:YES the Calling Party Name was present even if it should be present only with CLIP:EXT. This caused some problem with not fully ETSI compatible devices.

CITOBOX
  • Fixed handling of multiple devices.

Due to a bug only CITOBOX-1 was able to work.

NAT

  • Fixed a residual bug with DNS-ALG that in case of PTR requests causes abnormal system reboot.

CTISMS

  • HIdden SENDER-ID when SOURCE:FILE because not applicable.

Abilis CPX 2000, update 7.2.2

Released on September 13, 2011.

Enhancements

SMTP
  • Improved disk access performances.

  • Improved reliability against FAT corruption in presence of power failures.

POTS
  • Changed the default CLIP level to 600 mvpp to comply with ETSI specification

  • Added CLIP-LEVEL parameter in CTISYS and CTIP (CTIPE) to fine tune CLIP level in case of problematic installations.

  • CLIP-LEVEL has no effect on VoIP cards.

CLUS
  • Call forwarding now takes into consideration the called number of the incoming call:

    • if the called number is equal to NUM or NUMx, the RG (for forwarding calling=*) or the CG (for forwarding calling=USER) is filled with the called number

    • If the called number is different from NUM or NUMx, the RG or CG are filled with NUM.

    • before this modification the RG or CG were always filled with NUM

SIP
  • Call forwarding now takes into consideration the called number of the incoming call:

    • if the called number is equal to SIP-NUMBER or NUMx of the SIP user, the RG (for forwarding calling=*) or the CG (for forwarding calling=USER) is filled with the called number

    • If the called number is different from SIP-NUMBER or NUMx, the RG or CG are filled with NUM.

    • before this modification the RG or CG were always filled with SIP-NUMBER

IAX
  • Call forwarding now takes into consideration the called number of the incoming call:

    • if the called number is equal to IAX-NUMBER or NUMx of the IAX user, the RG (for forwarding calling=*) or the CG (for forwarding calling=USER) is filled with the called number

    • If the called number is different from IAX-NUMBER or NUMx, the RG or CG are filled with NUM.

    • before this modification the RG or CG were always filled with IAX-NUMBER

PPP

  • Added protection during server authentication to avoid that the same user can open more PPP sessions at the same time: when PAP/CHAP receives an authentication request, if user is already present into another PPP session, request will be discarded with 'User already logged' message and session will not be established.

Bug fixes

SMTP

  • Added support to all MIME multipart content subtypes in SMTP to SMS gateway. Used by Lotus Notes for mail with signature.

  • Added support to nested MIME multipart content in SMTP to SMS gateway. Used by Lotus Notes for mail with signature.

  • Fixed a bug that in some rare cases may cause a permanent deadlock in the mail sender process.

  • Fixed a bug that prevented to send mail to sms from Abilis applications or from smtp debug command.

Licencing
  • Fixed wrong IPLB licence handling: IPLB was wrongly subjected to the SOFTPBX licence.

ACNT
  • Added support of IPADD, CR and CRKEY configuration parameters to be used in a currently present simple mode.

UMTS - Data connection

  • Added support of URC Network Service: 1 which also leads to working DATA connection.

This URC appears with certain SIM and in certain circumstances, and is fully supported now.

POTS

  • After a C S CTIP:xxx the D S CTIP:xxx didn't show Layer 1 stats anymore.

  • Fixed the task switching bug between the T301 handling procedure and the DISCONNECT_REQUEST handling procedure because of delayed RingStop command processing in AQ931, it caused calls in DISC state forever.

  • Added protection against quickly repeated MAINT_INFO_3PTRANSFER_IMMEDIATE commands, it caused calls in DISC state forever.

ISDN

  • Fixed ECT procedure for implicit call transfer (EctExecute directive)

  • Added protection against quickly repeated MAINT_INFO_3PTRANSFER_IMMEDIATE commands, it caused calls in DISC state forever.

SIP

  • In NAT traversal handling the first packet to accomplish automatic UDP port changing in case of T.38 must be a valid T.38 packet.

POP3

  • Added support to UIDL command, this command speed up mail downloading, the performance increase a lot in case the mails are left on server. Apple IPhone mail client doesn't work without UIDL although it is an optional command.

ADSL - Speedtouch

  • Fixed a bug that caused ABNORMAL SYSTEM REBOOT after a certain number of line UP-DOWN-UP transitions.

In normally working lines the bug was practically never triggered, but in very unstable lines it was easy to met it.

Abilis CPX 2000, update 7.2.1

Bug fixes

QPRI2, PB44, CTIHA2

A buggy firmware for these cards was included in 7.2.0 by mistake, 7.2.1 contains the correct firmware.

The problem was with the incorrect reception of data from the D channels of PRI ports.

QPRI2, PB44, CTIHA2, BRIHFC2, BRIHFC3

Fixed downloading of firmware.

The firmware was not downloaded if the version to be downloaded was earlier than the version already loaded on the card. Starting from 7.2.1 the firmware is downloaded to the card if the version is different, and of course if the card is without a firmware, which occurs after a power up.

NAT

Fixed a bug in the DNS-ALG service that caused system restart.

The bug occurred in case of DNS-ALG:YES and in case of incorrect PTR requests.

DNS

Fixed a login level required for D DNS RESOLVER commands.

Superuser level was wrongly required instead of admin.

POTS interfaces of POTS, POTS32, BS44, BS48, BS432, BS832

  • Added the DELAYED CLIP implementation.

CLIP is now visible on phone even if incoming call is interrupted during CLIP sequence.

  • Fixed internal CLIP timings.

In some rare cases it was possible that the CLIP was wrongly delivered to the phone.

Cti router

Fixed in cti cluster the disconnect reason upon T301 expiration.

It was wrongly set to 81 E6, now it is correctly set to 81 93.

This problem caused some inconsistency in the mail notification and may have causes some problem in alternative routings.

ISDN BRI and PRI

Fixed the mail notification when all channels were occupied

In this situation the mail notification was not sent.

ISDN BRI and PRI

  • Fixed the mail notification when all channels were occupied

In this situation the mail notification was not sent.

  • Fixed missing mail notification in a very rare condition of user busy.

Http/web

  • CTI advanced preferences: fixed bugs in record addition form that didn't allow correct setting of Forward Called/Calling fields.

  • Changed listing of SMS files, the number of displayed files is not limited by HTTP buffer size anymore.

  • Address Book query now supports caching.

Opc - Operator panel control

  • Fixed handling of DND icon.

When setting DND though the OPC icon the call logging and mail notifications were disabled.

  • Extended contact search in dialogs, now it searches for ANY word starting with the entered text. It is the same as a direct search in the address book.

  • Address Book query now supports caching.

  • Calltry abort is now enabled if headset has calltry activated but is onhook.

Cti SMS

  • Fixed not working SMS upload via wget by avoiding POST request data parsing in case of text/csv content-type.

  • Added SMS file upload encapsulated in multipart/form-data.

  • Note that wget allows only text/scv upload with the limitation that the original file name is not available on server, on the contrary curl uploads using multipart/form-data which makes the original filename available on server.

SMTP

  • Some temporary errors (e.g. 450 used by greylisting feature) were treated are permanent errors causing mail loss.

  • Fixed handling of 25x error codes, there were treated are errors instead of successful.

Operator Panel Control

The Operator Panel Control (OPC) has been largely improved, mainly when used in conjunction with POTS interfaces.

This is a summary of all improvements:

  • Added a dashboard for controlling the associated POTS device

    • commands: call, hold/unhold, switch calls, transfer, abort call, calltry, abort calltry, open address book, show incoming and outgoing calls, show missed incoming calls, enabled/disable do-not-disturb

    • indicators: do not disturb, call transfers, voice mails, device state, device mode, calltry status

  • All the elements of the boxes are now user configurable through the preferences page which are then saved into browser cookies.

  • In the main OPC page the icons appear and disappear according to the actions allowed in a specific moment.

  • A new mode called HEADSET is now supported. This mode is set by system administrator using parameter DEVICE:PHONE|HEADSET added in the CTIP configuration.

When this mode is used, the phone/headet is always off-hook and the operator can perform all activities via OPC page.

Incoming calls are signalled to the operator by means of an audible signal, the operator can then accept or refuse such call.

The state off-hook, if the device allows it, is used to determine the not-ready condition, and thus calls will be rejected.

DSP administration

Added the possibility to administratively disable one or more DSPs.

This is obtained by configuring the desired dsp on the desired device as enabled or disable, activate it runtime and eventually save it permanently.

This feature is useful if some shows intermittent problems which suggest it's disabling until the hardware is replaced.

By default all DSPs are enabled. For example:

H100 test for PCIPOTS cards

The H100 test is now supported for PCIPOTS cards too, providing that it is equipped with firmware version 25.

If your PCIPOTS card has not firmware 25 you can download from here and update the card in the following way:

  • upload the POTS.BIN into the CPX working directory, for example using xmodem with "file put pots.bin" command.

  • issue the command debug res:ctisys cmd:l1pXb lsn:42, where in place of X you have to write the value of a CTIP belonging to the PCIPOTS that you want to update.

  • wait until the firmware upload ends

  • reboot

For example:
