Bug fixes

Gigabit ethernet on Compact Abilis

  • Fixed multicast hash filter.

The multicast didn't work and VRRP did not work for this reason.

VRRP

  • Fixed a bug that broken the IP res states known by VRRP after a CONF RELOAD command.

As a result the VRRP felt the IP res DOWN and stopped the VRRP on that IP res.

Operator Panel Control

  • The called number in outgoing calls (user -> ctir) was not correctly decoded with address book.

CTI call logs

  • Calls that did not match a routing were not logged.

POTS

  • Fixed the loading of CALLTRY-TOUT and CALLTRY-NRTY from CTIP preferences when they are set to SYS.

Due to a bug a value 0 was loaded, which practically disabled the calltry feature.

  • Modified the ringback timer.

The ringback timer defines the maximal about of time that your phone will right if you go on-hook while you have a call parked.

The value T301 (180 sec) was used, now replaced by fixed value of 15 seconds.

Ppp

  • Fixed a bug when too many negotiation failures was reached: in previous versions when this situation happened, PPP didn't close its state as it should.

Poeac

  • Fixed a bug in the processing of TAG_HOSTUNIQ and TAG_RELAYSESSIONID.

A malformed packet had the chance to cause a memory corruption with a subsequent denial of service.

  • Fixed a bug introduced in release 7.1.1 related to ALL-SERVICES-OFFER parameter: the PADO answer contained servicename empty even if ALL-SERVICES-OFFER was set to NO.

Poecli
  • Fixed a bug in the processing of TAG_ACCOOKIE and TAG_RELAYSESSIONID.

A malformed packet had the chance to cause a memory corruption with a subsequent denial of service.

Http

  • Fixed login procedure bug introduced with 7.1.0: the correct password was not accepted after one or more previous login failures.

Ip router

  • Fixed a bug in IP resource when removing the LANRES: currently in use and when setting a new LANRES: value.

The de-registration wasn't made on removed LAN interface, and new registration was only partially completed on the new one.

Smtp

  • Improved the SMTP to SMS to permit the processing of messages coming from mailers that puts in the mail a lot of text unnecessary for the SMS transmission.

Attachments, headers, mimes, all those parts which are unnecessary for the SMS are now skipped and does not cause the message rejection due to excessive size.

Abilis CPX 2000, update 7.1.4

Released on June 16, 2011.

Abilis CPX 2000, update 7.1.2

Released on May 18, 2011.

Enhancements

Smtp

SmsToSmtp gateway: extended the mail subject with the information of the port on which the message has been received.

CitoBox

Added the possibility to simulate DTMF by means of subaddress called field (SD).

By sending a call to a CTIP related to a Citobox and specifying in the SD field the string DTFM=x , where x is the desired dtmf in range 0..9 and A..D, the action corresponding to that dtmf will be executed. The action is the drive of one or more output lines.

The call will not be answered and will remain in ALERTING state.

The call will be either dropped on T301 timeout or on abort from caller.

Bug fixes

UMTS/GSM

  • Added driver start delay following device recognition and logical connection.

The delay is 2 seconds for SIMEMU, 5 seconds for Codec and UMTS/GSM modules.

This modification improves reliability on "old" Abilis CPX motherboards equipped with UHCI controller.

  • Firmware update for the UMTS-BOX2: update to version 37 will improve reliability on "old" Abilis CPX motherboards equipped with UHCI controller.

The firmware version 37 is available here and must be loaded using BLUSB driver and following the procedure indicated in CPX tutorial.

  • Added SMS Center (SMSC) in diagnostics.

It shows the value of SMS center configured in the SIM, e.g.:

The delay is 5 seconds and it improves reliability on "old" Abilis CPX motherboards equipped with UHCI controller when CITOBOX is connected through an external hub.

Voice Mail

  • Fixed a bug when Abilis is equipped with BRIHFC2 without H100 cards.

There was a mistake in the routing of the TDM connection that caused the play/record of noise instead of the legitimate messages.

Q931

  • Fixed ECT management in ISDN PRI NT.

The fix released in 7.0.9 was not complete.

  • Fixed ECT errors management in ISDN PRI NT.

There were some protection missing that could cause system reboot upon illegal ECT procedure.

Ctir

  • Fixed a bug when generating mails for events related to a cluster.

The mail indicated CTIP instead of CLUS.

  • Fixed a bug when FORK was used by a CTIP being part of a multicast group.

The forked call was not always performed.

Sip

  • Fixed a bug related to CANCEL a call.

The CANCEL message did not fully comply with RFC. With some very sensitive devices, like some old Cisco phones, the message was rejected and call not cancelled.

Snmp

  • Added new variable 'cxCtiPoDgGsmSmsCenterAddress' (SMSC) to cxCtiPoDgGsmTable.

Cp

  • Added missing CTBGPIO.BIN and CTBCITO.BIN to D I command in Abilis USB firmware section.

Nat

  • Fixed a bug when using DMAP command: translations with PAT:NO were not displayed because default filter didn't match them.

Abilis CPX 2000, update 7.1.1

Released on May 9, 2011.

Enhancements

IAX

  • Added alerting tone generation after RINGING when ALERTING without progress in-band-info is received from CTIR, now the audio is sent after RINGING acknowledgment.

Alerting tone is generated according to CTISYS tones configuration.

Bug fixes

VRRP

  • Added new trace level: FOREIGN.

VRRP packets that did not match a VRRP-ID were logged and this caused a flooding in the VRRP log. These packets are not logged anymore unless the FOREIGN level is activated.

Ethernet

  • RTL8111 (Gigabit) - Fixed a bug that caused a system lock followed by a watchdog restart when the Gigabit card shared the interrupt with another card.

Control Port

  • Added decode of CtiSms ERR: in D LDME.

  • Added command D CODE SMS <value>, used to manually decode a CtiSms error.

  • Added DEBUG SIMULATE EVENT:WDGRESET command. It resets WDG but doesn't make SW reset of the PC.

This command is useful to verify that the watchdog (MFIDE/MFPCI/MFLPC) is really able to make HW reset of the Abilis CPX, and thus that the reset cable is properly connected.

If the reset does not take place you will be informed as below:

    [06:04:07] ABILIS_CPX:debug simulate event:wdgreset

YOU ASKED TO SIMULATE THE 'WDG RESET' EVENT.
THIS WILL CAUSE THE SYSTEM TO BE RESTARTED, PROCEED ANYWAY (N/Y)?y

PROCEEDING WITH WDG RESET EVENT SIMULATION...

WARNING: WDG RESET HAD NOT EFFECT.

    ******************************************************************************
    ATTENTION!
THE SYSTEM MUST BE RESTARTED WITH 'WARM START' COMMAND.
ALLOWED COMMANDs: 'CLOSE', 'EXIT', 'WARM START'.
    ******************************************************************************

    [06:04:54] ABILIS_CPX:

In this situation the system must be rebooted with a WARM START and the reset cable and/or the watchdog has to be repaired.

PoeCli

  • Fixed diagnostic indicating ACNAME and SERVICENAME.

It erroneously shown only configured values and the line was not shown if both were empty.

Now the actually used values are shown and the line is always present for states different from DISCONNECTED.

  • Debug commands related to logs are now supported.

PoeAc

  • Fixed bug when receiving PADI request with servicename empty: if ALL-SERVICES-OFFER:YES, PADO answer was sent with servicename empty too instead of putting local service names configured.

  • Debug commands related to logs are now supported.

Aipt and Pv

  • Fixed bugs in EXT-SERVER mode that shown in diagnostics PATH1 UP even if it was DOWN.

  • Fixed a bug following INIT command that caused AIPT/PV blockage.

NAT

  • Fixed bug related to PPTP packets handling.

Now packets flowing on PPTc translation refreshes time for PPTd translations too.

Addess Book

  • Fixed wrong Url displayed after Address book entry deletion: the address book index page was correctly displayed but the Url was wrong and this caused problem on page reloading.

  • Fixed not working back button in Voice mail administration page.

Q931

  • Fixed ECT procedure which didn't work at all.

CTI router

  • Fixed a bug in the handling of Voice Mail connection when EEC is active that caused system reboot.

The EEC is not necessary for VM connection and it is released upon forwarding to Voice Mail.

QPRIX/PB44X vocoders

  • Fixed G.729a audio levels.

The Audio levels were 18 db higher in output to PCM and 18 db lower in input from PCM. The result was that connections with "foreign" vocoders results with high audio in one direction and low audio in the other.

  • Improved echo canceller and non-linear-processor.

Abilis CPX 2000, update 7.1.0

Released on April 29, 2011.

Enhancements

Alarm

Added a new resource named Alarm.

This resource manages alarms inside Abilis CPX and permits to take actions upon such alarm.

In this version it manages the SNMP traps and sends emails to the configured recipients, in future versions more kinds of alarms and actions will be possible.

You must enable and properly configure the SMTP service in Abilis otherwise emails will not be sent.

The sender recipient is the one configured in parameter MAIL-FROM: in CTISYS.

Please refer to cpx tutorial for further instructions.

CT Advanced Services

CtiAs is the new container for CTI plugins.

It is not necessary to add CtiAs resource as it is automatically added when a plugin is added and automatically deleted when a plugin is deleted.

In this release we have the Voice Mail plugin only:

CTI Advanced Services - CTI Voice Mail plugin

Through CtiVM plugin a call is answered by an automatic system that will provide a prerecorded outgoing message (OGM) inviting the caller to leave a message, the message left by the caller will be sent as a WAV attachment to an email. An optional prerecorded courtesy message (BYE) can be played if the caller exceeds the maximal time allowed for the message.

By default Abilis CPX provides one set of OGM and BYE messages playing Italian then English. Customized OGM and BYE messages have to be prepared in the following way:

  • Record message in WAV format on any PC and save it in G.711 A-law format.

  • Upload the recorded message to the Abilis CPX in the CtiVM user folder, or in the CtiVm system folder for system wide messages.

  • Convert the WAV into CPM format. Requires TWO free DSP channels.

  • If the CPM file is already available, because for example already converted, it can be just uploaded.

  • The upload/convert steps can be done either via CP interface of via dedicated HTTP pages Voice Mail message service.

The user can enable/disable the VM service through the own pages CTI preferences and CTI Advanced Preferences, or via phone keypad with supplementary service *48 (enable ) and *49 (disable). The message will be sent to the recipient specified in the user "CTI preferences" page.

The user CF rules takes precedence over user VM rules.

The system administrator can send incoming calls directly to CtiVM service by configuring POO:CtiVM in routings. The message will be sent to the recipients specified in RCPT: and RCPT-LIST: of CtiVm resource. Two routings with NEXT:LIMITED are required if it is necessary to support both on-the-fly and delayed transcoding the first for G.711 A-law the second for all other codecs.

Voice messages recorded by caller will be converted on-the-fly to G.711 A-law if there are enough resources available, otherwise a file containing the original coding will be saved on disk and later transcoded to G.711 A-law as soon as the delayed transcoding resources will be available.

The maximal number of on-the-fly transcoding session is configured by system administration with TC-SESNUM parameter.
